I awoke, in the pitch of black. I called out her name
I realized she wasn't there
Cold and lonely, I stepped out for a cigarette
the harsh wind, felt nothing compared to emptiness
I traveled down a place, a sea of a thousand faces
I could see hers but no matter how hard I tried
I couldn't get near her, the arms of the other faces
pulling me away.
I bite and kick, I force my way through
To only find her asleep. I caress her hair
Kiss her gently and fall back to sleep. With
the morning sunrise on my chest.
