Drink deeply.
Live in serenity and joy.
The wise person delights in the truth
And follows the law of the awakened.
The farmer channels water to his land.
The fletcher whittles his arrows.
And the carpenter turns his wood.
So the wise direct their mind.

Good morning Leecey. It's 5:52 here and I've been up since about 4:45. I'm having the weirdest week. A friend asked me to submit my resume and wanted me in the next day to discuss her new company. I went in yesterday and was more interested than I thought I would be - but am wondering if I'm nuts to jump ship into the choppy waters of start-up-dom. So I really enjoyed your post about fear of the future that you reprinted. I need to take some deep breaths and go with my gut - which is restless, but not foolhardy. Oy. The funny thing I discovered is that the building is the same as my friend Shanin's - right above her company! Small world. And, weirdly, after a spontaneous invitation to go get burgers with my middle-aged neighbors as I was walking down my street to my apartment, I found out that Tokyo Rose lives directly across the street from me. And the "spy story" is very different from what is popularly disseminated. Life if weird. I hope you can balance fond memories of your past with truly letting go. Have a great day and maybe I'll give you a ring after ballet tonight.
